A Message from Our Founder
Sandy Orsund
For as long as I can remember, I’ve been interested in helping others reach their full potential in all areas of their lives. Born and raised in Plymouth, Indiana, I was passionate about seemingly unconnected things while growing up - sports, psychology, healing practices, and coaching others. I loved sports, but I always struggled with body image, fad diets, and depression due to layers of trauma.
After being told over and over that I wasn’t good enough to compete at the collegiate level athletically, I decided to shift gears, move across the country to attend Arizona State University to study Kinesiology and pursue a career in fitness. Little did I know that someone saw me, shared with the track coaches that I had moved out to Arizona, and they invited me to walk on. That first year was tough, but my fire was lit. The change came with an incredible team, an amazing coach that believed in me, doctors that helped me nurture my body, and a sports psychologist that helped my mental game. I was thriving. I fought my way to be a maroon and gold scholar, receive an athletic scholarship, went to nationals, USA’s (which is the equivalent level competition, but on the off years of the Olympic Trials), won a PAC-10 Championship in the discus, and competed in the 2004 Olympic Trials in Track and Field.
The journey taught me grit, balance, persistence, grace, and knowing when to shift when things are no longer working. I learned that my struggle is not unique, and that pain management comes in many forms. For some, it might look like alcohol, drugs, or sex; mine was food and exercise.
My experiences have enabled me to empathetically nurture others that struggle with pain management, control, balance, trauma, fear, and the desire to fight for their best self. This is one of the reasons why I opened The Union, Wellness Boutique. And all of my seemingly unconnected interests and passions, plus my experiences, certifications, and degrees from college, have blended together perfectly in creating my business.
Setting off on my journey of creating and building my own business has been quite an experience. My desire to be a lifelong learner of how to care for myself and others has led me to be a Trainer, a Strength Coach, and a Healer. I’ve also become a Reiki master, Soul Lightening Acupressure practitioner, and Yoga instructor. But most importantly, I’m a passionate mother, who maybe like you, struggles with work-life balance, taking care of my partner, the kids, keeping up with the dishes and laundry, all while building a career. I’m still learning every day, but I love to take what I’ve learned and help transform other people’s lives to help bring them more peace, joy and contentment with who they are. This is what I hope you’re able to find at The Union.
An Integrative Nutrition Health Coach is a guide and mentor who empowers you and provides ongoing support and guidance as you set goals and make sustainable changes that improve your health and happiness.

Lesley Langfeldt
Hi! I'm Lesley Langfeldt, a Certified Functional Nutrition Coach & Personal Trainer. As a mom to 3 boys, the oldest with special needs, I understand how difficult and time-consuming it is to take care of your family, let alone yourself. However, I truly believe that taking care of ourselves is vitally important to being able to take care of others.
I know it can be hard to make time for yourself while also having to navigate the emotional and physical demands of life - appointments, activities, work, time with each of your kiddos, self care, or even what the best foods to eat or workouts are for your goals. You're not alone, and I'm here to help.
Whether it’s through helping you use food as medicine or personal training with me, I will empower you to feel healthy, strong and capable both mentally and physically. My goal as your nutrition coach or personal trainer is to have a positive impact on your life; to help you become the happiest, healthiest, strongest version of yourself.
Nicole Fergison
Hello! I’m Nicole Fergison, a Certified Recreational Therapist and Nutrition Coach. Over the past 20+ years, I have had the privilege of working alongside many individuals and groups within a wide range of environments and abilities, toward goals of physical, mental, and emotional health.
My creative approaches are results-driven, and I am passionate about treating people as the whole version of themselves - working toward feeling and being the best that they can, while recognizing and overcoming any challenges along the journey. I love exploring what fits best, whether that is sneaking in extra vegetables or extra movement, and connecting it to how it makes one’s body and mind feel to create positive lifestyle transformation. As your coach, I am passionate about supporting your personal goals and doing what I can to help you feel happy and healthy!
Katherine Foust
Hi! I’m Katherine Foust, a Certified Personal Trainer and passionate advocate for fitness as a form of therapy. As a busy professional, wife, and mom to two student-athletes, I understand how challenging it can be to prioritize wellness while juggling family and career.
That’s why I focus on time-efficient, effective workouts that support both physical strength and mental clarity. I believe that even just a few intentional minutes of movement can have a powerful impact on your day—and your life.
I also believe in fueling the body with real, quality foods while allowing space for balance and joy. Nothing is off-limits. My approach to fitness and nutrition is realistic, empowering, and rooted in helping clients feel strong, energized, and confident.
Let’s build a routine that fits your life—and transforms it from the inside out.
Katie Sellers
Hi! I’m Katie Sellers, a Certified Personal Trainer, proud farm girl from Bourbon, Indiana, junior high volleyball coach, and Purdue University graduate—Boiler Up!
My fitness journey really took off in college. After years of playing sports and having structured training, stepping into Purdue’s CoRec felt overwhelming. But through group classes and eventually designing my own workouts, I gained the confidence, strength, and energy I’d been missing.
Today, I’m passionate about helping others experience that same transformation. I bring high energy, coaching experience, and a heart for empowering others to every session. Whether you’re just starting out or ready to level up, I’m here to keep you motivated, focused, and on track to reach your goals.
Let’s get stronger—together!
Jenna Leigh
Hi, I’m Jenna Leigh—Yoga Teacher, Reiki Practitioner, and Sound Healing Guide.
The well of our being is a vast and sacred place to explore. For me, music has long been a vehicle for connecting with life force and creative energy. Through sound healing, I return to a simple, earth-based understanding of our shared humanity—one rooted in the ancient rhythms of chant, song, and drumming that pulse through so many traditions and tribes.
I believe it is our birthright to sing, to move, and to express this life with joy and abandon. I offer yoga asana, pranayama (breathwork), Reiki, and sound healing as pathways of remembrance—a gentle guiding back to the wisdom that already lives within you.
With a mirror in my heart, I aim to reflect your light back to you, helping you rediscover the simple and joyous truth of who you are.
Sam Boys
Hi, I’m Sam Boys, a Certified Yoga Instructor, Spiritual Director, and Didgeridoo Player with a deep passion for rewilding, earthing, and Ecosomatics. I believe true healing begins when we return to our bodies and reconnect with the Living Earth.
My Vinyasa-style yoga classes are designed to be accessible to every body, weaving together breath and movement to create space for embodied presence, spiritual alignment, and deep ecological awareness. Whether I’m guiding a class, leading a nature-based retreat, or holding sacred space for personal transformation, my work is rooted in supporting your return to wholeness.
Let’s remember who we are—through the wisdom of the body, the breath, and the land beneath our feet.
